The Human Body
is an amazing machine. There are numerous mechanisms in place within the body to assist it in "righting"
itself or bringing it back to a homeostatic way of being.
Having stated that,
in this incredibly fast-paced, stress-filled world, where people are living lives on "overdrive", there
are numerous factors, or "stressors", which contribute to pushing people away from a place of balance
or homeostasis. Interesting to note, what might be considered a "stressor" for one person may be nothing at all
for someone else, and vice versa. If these influences, or "stressors", continue over time, it can lead
to "dis"-order or "dis"-ease. Thus creating a cycle and one which, ultimately, requires
being broken. There are numerous ways in which the cycle can be broken. Two potential ways are through the use of acupuncture
and massage. These are two very non-invasive and profoundly effective ways of nudging the body and "re"-minding
it of its natural balanced state and how to return there. Chinese Medicine addresses the entire
being or the person as a whole. Often patients come away with beautiful side affects such as increased energy, better
sleep, and a profoundly improved over all sense of well being.
My
role as the practitioner is that of facilitator. It is my intent to provide a safe comfortable environment while using acupuncture
and therapeutic massage in order to assist a patient on his/her personal transformative journey and return
to optimal health and well being.
